The microprocessor-controlled CheckitDirect photometers are pre-programmed for specific test methods and calibrated in the AQUALYTIC® laboratory. The single-parameter CheckitDirect models each offer 1 test method, while the multi-parameter CheckitDirect units are programmed for a number of different parameters. The CheckitDirect units supply accurate, reproducible results very quickly. Other major advantages include ease of operation, ergonomic design, compact dimensions and safe handling.
The LEDs used as a source of light have long-term stability giving monochromatic light emission with low power consumption.
The sample chamber (the most critical part of any photometer) is fully sealed, ensuring that water cannot come into contact with the electronic components.
Thanks to the size of the sample chamber, it is easy to clean the light ports (windows).
The calibration and software-based adjustment options mean that the CheckitDirect is also suitable for use as a testing instrument.
As it is battery operated, the unit is suitable for both field and laboratory use.
The CheckitDirect is a LED-photometer using one or two LEDs. The instrument has a factory calibration, which is related to internal standards which are not N.I.S.T traceable. The instrument may be calibrated by the user in a "user calibration mode" with N.I.S.T traceable standards.
A photometer is only as good as the quality of its reagent system. This is why AQUALYTIC® tablet reagents with a 5 or 10 year shelf life guarantee are generally used for standard analyses. Each tablet is individually sealed in aluminium foil and is therefore not affected by ambient influences. It remains "freshÓ right up to the time it is removed from the foil, more or less ruling out the effects of ageing.
