The KOBOLD KSK plastic Varable Area Flowmeterss/flow switches operate on the basis of the well known variable area principle. They are used for flow measurement and control in pipe lines. The medium flows upward through a conically widening plastic measuring tube.
The float is lifted by the flowing
medium and indicates the momentary flow rate on the scale attached
to the Varable Area Flowmeters.
The flow rate is read at the largest
diameter of the float. For the control of flow limit values, bistable
contacts can be provided for the instrument. The contacts provide
a logical output signal and can be used to actuate measurement
and control devices (e.g. programmable controllers.). Solid state
switches and reed contact are available.
