KOBOLD SV flowmeters and switches work on the well known variable area principle, but without the use of the open conical measuring tube. Instead the instruments use a cylindrical control tube with a conical groove along its axis. The upper edge of the float indicates the flow reading on the measuring glass, which is calibrated in GPM or SCFM. This approach allows for higher rates of flow to be monitored in a compact meter. It also allows for greater control of turndown than with traditional conical tube variable area designs.
The SV series is available
as a flowmeter only or a flowmeter and switch with up to two switches.
Wetted parts are a glass measuring tube with either nickel plated
brass or stainless steel connections and viton or buna-n. seals.
