On-The-Spot
Testing
The increasing use of alcohol-free and alcohol-reduced fountain
solutions puts new importance on monitoring conductivity,
pH and temperature. The easy-to-use Litho-Kit with M6/pH
instrument allows you to immediately make these important
tests. It's your self-contained, quality control "tool"
for fountain solutions.

Conductivity & pH
Many of today's fountain solutions are pH buffered, so only small changes in pH are seen, even with large changes in solution strength. Testing solution conductivity is a much more accurate way to measure concentration. By using the field proven M6/pH Meter, you will quickly identify the best etch/water mix. Later, on-the-spot measurements will let you fine tune your dampening system during the press run.
Although conductivity measurement is more critical than ever, controlling pH is still very important. The pH of fountain solutions can affect sensitivity, plate-life, ink-drying, etc. A quick check with your M6/pH Meter will help you maintain optimum pH and conductivity. The result: consistent, high quality printing!

Temperature
Because alcohol-free solutions are less viscous, you need to check temperature regularly during the press run. The Litho-Kit thermometer, with its 8" long stem, makes it easy to check solution temperature in the fountain pan...the most accurate place to test.
