Econ FP Series

Econ FP Series Flow Activated Metering Pump

The Econ FP is activated by flow and offers three control capabilities to choose from all in one pump.

The Econ FP is perfect for light-duty applications such as drinking water disinfection or pH adjustment for private water wells in homes or farms. In the animal health market such as poultry hatcheries, the FP can inject nutrients or supplements into the drinking water or disinfect the water lines with the injection of acids, chlorine or chlorine dioxide. The Econ FP is a flow activated pump and can accept a dry contact signal or a 12-24 VAC/VDC signal from any control equipment that responds to flow. The functions are easy to program on the six button control pad with a backlit LCD window. The pump features an enclosed housing, is wall mountable and carries cULus for indoor and outdoor use. Mounting the pump vertically is required for wet environments or outdoor use. Optional mounting accessories are also available.

How It WorksThe pump runs at a set time or a set speed according to the mode of operation selected. The control panel displays one of three operating modes, Seconds, Flow Switch and Auxiliary and the percent setting for each. To assist against tampering, two buttons are required for operation and the keypad will automatically lock if it remains idle for one minute.1. SECONDS (dry contact signal)

In the Seconds mode, the pump can receive a dry (non-voltage) contact signal and will run for a set time in response to receiving the signal. The pump can receive the signal from, for example, a water meter or control valve that sends a dry contact signal. There is a choice of five pump operating time ranges and the maximum time is displayed in the control panel; the run time is adjustable from 10% to 100% in 1% increments.

  • 1 SECOND = 0.1 to 1.0
  • 5 SECONDS = 0.5 to 5.0
  • 10 SECONDS = 1.0 to 10.0
  • 20 SECONDS = 2.0 to 20.0
  • 60 SECONDS = 6.0 to 60.0

2. FLOW SWITCH (dry contact signal)

In the Flow Switch mode, the pump will accept a dry (non-voltage) contact signal from a 2 wire flow switch and will run at the set speed for as long as it receives the dry contact. The pump speed is adjustable from 10% to 100% in 1% increments. The connection is not polarity sensitive (polarity is not an issue when connecting the flow switch wires).

3. AUXILIARY (12-24 VAC/VDC signal)

In the Auxiliary mode, the pump can accept a 12-24 VAC/VDC signal and will run at a set speed for as long as it receives the signal. The speed is adjustable from 10% to 100% in 1% increments. The pump can receive the signal from a control valve or another type of control equipment that responds to flow.

Unique Stenner Features

  • Almost effortless tube replacement with patented quick release pump head.
  • Solid one piece tube construction.
  • Attach the pump to a wall or select from optional mounting accessories.

Three Models

The Econ FP has three models with maximum outputs of 4.5, 16 and 30 gallons per day up to 80 psi (17.0, 60.6, 113.8 lpd up to 5.5 bar).

Also available as a Tank System that includes the Econ FP pump pre-mounted to the tank. The Econ FP Meter System consists of the Econ FP pump and a 3/4″ or 1″ lead-free plastic dry contact water meter mounted on a heavy duty panel. The water meter is available as 1, 2, 4 or 10 pulses per gallon. A junction box is included on the panel to keep wires contained and out of the way; a flow indicator is also installed that verifies that the solution is pumping.

Advantages of Stenner’s Peristaltic Pumps

  • Solution is not in contact with moving parts and runs through a food grade pump tube.
  • Pump head requires no valves, allows for easy maintenance.
  • Self-priming against maximum working pressure, foot valve not required.
  • Pump does not lose prime or vapor lock.
  • Pumps off-gassing solutions and can run dry.
  • Output volume is not affected by back pressure.

NOTICE: The information within this chart is solely intended for use as a guide.
The output data is an approximation based on pumping water under a controlled testing environment.
Many variables can affect the output of the pump. Stenner Pump Company recommends that all metering
pumps undergo field calibration by means of analytical testing to confirm their outputs.
